When and where is the 2027 Tour?
“Dates will be set in January 2027.” “Locations have not yet been announced.” Places under consideration are on Where to watch. Get notified.
Do I need to register?
“Registration is not required, but any rider who has not registered is disqualified.” “Not participating will not disqualify you.” (2027 announcement)
How long is each stage?
“All stage distances will be a multiple of 25. The organizers do not explain this and will not be taking questions.”
Are there prizes?
“If by some oversight on the organizers’ part you win a stage, you’ll be disappointed to find that there are no prizes. The winner receives nada.” (Regulation 1.8)
What can I ride?
“Entry limited to bicycles. No tricycles, unicycles or Shriner go-carts. Some special dispensation may be awarded for riders of oxen.” “Oxen: no oxen.” (Regulations 2.0–2.1)
Will there be bears?
“Along the route, bears will be released from time to time. (Other local fanged mammals may be substituted at the organizer’s discretion.) Any rider torn apart is disqualified.”
Where does a stage finish?
“Each stage will end at a selected local brewery where ‘competitors’ will be subjected to a complex series of negotiations to determine the winner.” (Important Info)
What is “owning the shout”?
“At the end of each stage, the slowest rider owns the shout unless another rider is disqualified.” “If you don’t know what a shout is then you’re disqualified and it’s your shout.” (Regulation 1.6)
Can I complain?
“Organizer’s decisions are final. If you don’t like it, please organize your own race.” “Whining: Disqualified.” (Regulations 1.1, 1.4)
